As we settle into the school year, it’s become evident that I need to up my game when it comes to organizing family meals and packing school lunches. With my youngest one starting preschool in November, it’s high time I streamlined our meal planning and grocery shopping to keep this household running smoothly. So, I’ve decided to leverage my organizational skills and create not just any list, but a comprehensive meal plan. This meal plan will span two weeks and encompass breakfast and dinner ideas for at-home meals, as well as lunchbox options and snacks for when the kids are at school. This will simplify grocery shopping and make the task of packing lunches a breeze.
I thought, why not bring you along for the journey? I’ve laid out our meal plan in an Excel document, and you’re welcome to use it as a template for your own family. These meals and snacks are well-loved by my family but feel free to clear it all out and add your own favorites. If you have older kids, involve them in the process and let them contribute their favorite foods and meals to make this a fun family planning activity.
Enjoy it and keep me posted!
Warmly,
Dahlia
This is helpful. I've started cooking more of what my kids like to eat during the weekdays which tends to be simple meals anyways. It's a win-win. We've been doing a crockpot meal on the weekends, soup + grilled cheese, tacos/quesadillas, chicken and rice casserole, and spaghetti or hamburger helper a lot.
Love this! I’m Always In The Kitchen is back!
